I have difficulties understanding the picture. If you posted it to show us the boy would not it make more sense showing us more of where he is, what he does etc.? (i.e. change the composition as well) If the point was to show detail of the boy would not it than be better to shoot the detail of head / face? I like it and can also close my eyes ove the quality but the contents of the picture should speak to me more clearly... This is not a criticism so consider it just my little comment... :-)
im sure it's possible to reach higher quality even in the limit of 100kB, try to pay more attention to it next time pls, it's really pity when it's like this...
otherwise nice, for me a bit too much space around the kid, but he's cute .-)
